Philippines remains last in global pandemic resilience ranking

The Philippines remains at the bottom of Bloomberg's global pandemic resilience ranking for October.

With a score of 40.5 out of 100, the country ranks last among 53 nations tracked by Bloomberg.

Low vaccination coverage, at only 26% of the population, is cited as one of the main reasons for the poor ranking.

Southeast Asian neighbors like Malaysia (ranked 50th) and Vietnam (ranked 52nd) have higher vaccine distribution rates, covering more than a third of their populations.

Domestic restrictions such as bans on children in malls and international travel limitations also contribute to the Philippines' low score.
