Philippines nears population protection threshold as daily vaccinations rise

The Philippines is nearing its population protection threshold as daily vaccination rates continue to rise.

As of October 25, over 56.2 million doses have been administered out of a total of 97.68 million delivered vaccines.

Fully vaccinated individuals now comprise 33.65% of the country's target for population protection by year-end.

The average daily vaccination rate increased to 488,506 doses in the last seven days, up from 405,999 the previous week.

NTF chief Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. cited stable supplies and donations from COVAX Facility and countries like Japan, US, Australia, Germany, and Brunei as contributing factors.
