Philippines receives over 7M AstraZeneca jabs since March

Over seven million AstraZeneca vaccine doses have arrived in the Philippines since March, with the latest batch consisting of 415,040 donated by the UK arriving on Monday.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr., outgoing British Ambassador Daniel Pruce, and Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary Jaime Victor Ledda welcomed the shipment at NAIA Terminal 3.

The vaccines were immediately transported to a cold storage facility for distribution.

This donation is part of the UK's commitment to donate 100 million doses to developing countries, including the Philippines.
