Philippines receives 1.7M Pfizer doses for teen vaccination

The Philippines received an additional 866,970 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday night, bringing the total to 1.7 million doses delivered over two nights.

On Friday night, another batch of 866,970 doses arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

The US government facilitated these deliveries, which will be used for vaccinating adolescents aged 12 to 17 across the country.

As of Thursday, November 4, the Philippines had administered a total of 62,474,334 vaccine doses, with 28,718,856 individuals fully vaccinated, representing 37.23% of the target population.
