SWS: 35% of adults vaccinated, 64% willing

An estimated 25 million adult Filipinos have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted from September 27 to 30.

The percentage of vaccinated adults increased to 35% in September, up from 27% in June. In Metro Manila, this figure rose to 71%.

College graduates had the highest vaccination rate at 49%, followed by junior high school graduates (37%), elementary graduates (31%), and non-elementary graduates (23%).

SWS also found that 64% of Filipinos are now willing to get vaccinated, a significant increase from May when only 32% were willing. Vaccine willingness increased in all regions: Metro Manila at 87%, Luzon at 65%, Visayas at 56%, and Mindanao at 54%.
