Philippines men's volleyball team loses to Indonesia in SEA V.League opener

The Philippines men's volleyball team suffered a five-set loss to Indonesia in their opening match of the 2025 SEA V.League Leg 2 on Wednesday.

Down two sets to one and trailing early in the fourth set, Indonesia staged a comeback within its ranks and rode a 5-0 spurt to take control before securing a decisive fifth set victory with an insurmountable 5-0 start.

Indonesia's Fahri Septian Putratrama dominated the final frame with three service aces and an attack to secure the win for his team, while Philippines struggled despite efforts from Jade Disquitado and Eco Adajar.

The Filipino team will have one day off before facing Cambodia in their next match on Friday at 5 pm Manila time.

Cambodia pushed Alas Pilipinas to a five-set loss in their last meeting, featuring an extended third set escape by the Philippines.
