Alas Pilipinas loses to Thailand in SEA V League, falls to 1-2

Alas Pilipinas Men suffered a shocking defeat against Thailand in the SEA V. League Leg 2 on Saturday in Indonesia, losing with scores of 18-25, 18-25, 25-14, 23-25, and 7-15.

The loss put the Filipinos at a 1-2 record, jeopardizing their chances of finishing in the top three, while Thailand improved to 2-1 and maintained its title defense ambitions.

Despite rallying from a late deficit in Set 4 led by Leo Ordiales, Thailand's Kissada Nilwasai secured a set point before clinching the victory with a decisive fifth-set performance.

In the final frame, Thailand capitalized on a slim lead early to build an 9-2 finishing blast and seal their win despite efforts from Alas Pilipinas to close the gap.

The Philippines will face Vietnam in their final match on Sunday at 5 pm while Thailand takes on Indonesia for their last assignment.
