Philippines Reports 2,674 New COVID-19 Cases; Total Near 320,000

As of Saturday, October 3, the Philippines reported a total of 319,330 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 2,674 new infections.

The number of recoveries increased to 255,046 after 459 more patients recovered from the illness.

Active cases now stand at 58,606, with most being mild (87.1%), followed by asymptomatic (8.8%) and critical (2.9%).

The majority of new cases came from Metro Manila (1,046), Cavite (257), Rizal (165), Batangas (137), and Laguna (121).
