PCG delays quarantine facility due to worker infections

The construction of a dedicated quarantine facility for Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) officers and personnel was delayed by a week due to workers testing positive for COVID-19.

As of September 29, the number of active cases among PCG members rose to 85, with 39 new recoveries bringing total recoveries to 1,531 and zero deaths out of 1,616 total cases.

The facility, which can accommodate up to 224 personnel, is now set for completion on October 5, coinciding with the PCG’s 119th founding anniversary.
