Metro Manila to remain under GCQ until Oct 31

Metro Manila will remain under general community quarantine until October 31 due to rising infections and high hospital bed occupancy.

Batangas and cities like Tacloban, Bacolod, Iloilo, and Iligan joined Metro Manila under GCQ, while Lanao Del Sur was placed under a stricter modified enhanced community quarantine.

Health officials cited case clustering in areas such as Valenzuela, Makati, and Muntinlupa as reasons for maintaining the higher lockdown level.
