Batanes confirms second COVID-19 case

Batanes confirmed its second COVID-19 case on Thursday, October 1, just two days after recording its first case.

Patient B-002, a locally stranded individual (LSI) who arrived in Batanes via the Philippine Air Force on September 22, is asymptomatic and stable in isolation at the Sinakan Isolation Unit in Sabtang.

The first patient, also an LSI who arrived on September 22, remains isolated at the Batanes Resort and is asymptomatic.

Both patients are under strict monitoring with intensive contact tracing being conducted by the COVID-19 Task Group-Health Cluster.
