Philippines finishes Asian Games with four golds, 17th overall

The Philippines concluded its campaign in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China on October 8 with a total of four gold medals, two silver medals, and twelve bronze medals, finishing in 17th place overall.

Pole vaulter EJ Obiena, jiu-jitsu fighters Meggie Ochoa and Annie Ramirez, and the men's national basketball team were key contributors to this performance.

The country matched its four-gold medal haul from the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asiad and added two silver medals and twelve bronze medals across various sports including wushu, boxing, tennis, sepak takraw, cycling, karate, taekwondo, and weightlifting.
