Philippines COVID-19 positivity rate rises to 24.3%

The COVID-19 positivity rate in Metro Manila was 'almost flat' at 25.7 percent as of May 20, according to Octa Research fellow Guido David.

David noted that the high positivity rates were observed in several provinces including Isabela with a rate of 67.4 percent.

The national positivity rate increased to 24.3 percent on May 20, up from 24.1 percent on May 18.

Metro Manila's healthcare utilization rate stood at 30.5%, while the ICU bed occupancy rate was 27% as of May 20.
