PH logs 12,414 new COVID-19 cases, daily average up 31%

The Philippines recorded 12,414 new COVID-19 cases from May 8 to May 14, marking a 31% increase compared to the previous week.

There were no deaths reported during this period and only 53 patients were in severe or critical condition.

As of Monday, there are 437 patients with severe or critical infections, representing 8.8% of total coronavirus admissions.

ICU bed utilization stands at 18.8%, while non-ICU beds have a 21.7% occupancy rate.

The country's daily average of new cases increased to 1,773 from May 8 to May 14, up by 421 cases compared to the previous week.
