PHAPi: Private hospital coronavirus admissions rise

Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines (PHAPi) reported an increase in coronavirus admissions in private hospitals over the past two to three days.

The number of admissions has risen by 20% to 50%, with most cases being 'coincidental COVID' where patients were admitted for other health issues but tested positive upon screening.

Dr. Jose Rene de Grano noted that the increase depends on the allocated beds, and emphasized that while previously utilization was around 20%, it has now surpassed this rate.
