Police bust drug traffickers, seize P4.2M shabu

Police anti-narcotics operatives in Lucena City and Taytay, Rizal arrested three suspected drug traffickers and seized more than P1.6 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm during buy-bust operations Tuesday.

In Muntinlupa City on the same day, two individuals were caught carrying over P2-million worth of crystal meth; the suspects are being identified using their aliases 'Alice,' 46, and 'Alex,' 74.

During a police operation at 2:10 a.m. in Barangay Alabang, Alice and Alex were found with 300 grams of shabu along with drug paraphernalia, buy-bust money, a phone, and a bag.

On Wednesday, Rizal province police seized more than P605,000 worth of shabu from four arrested drug suspects in Rodriguez town and Barangay San Isidro.

The suspects were identified as 'Regie,' who was caught selling P244,800 worth of 36 grams of shabu to an undercover cop; and 'Abubakar' and 'Walid,' who were found with P190,400 worth of 38 grams of meth.

In Baras town, motorcyclist 'Bryan' was arrested after a routine inspection revealed P170,000 worth of shabu in his possession.

All suspects are under police custody and facing charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
