Philippine cyclists compete in Tour of Luzon

Philippine cyclists Ronald Oranza and Jan Paul Morales are among ten members of the PhilCycling men's national team competing in the Tour of Luzon: Great Revival starting Thursday, April 24, in Paoay, Ilocos Norte.

Oranza, a double bronze medalist at the Cambodia 2023 Southeast Asian Games, and Morales lead the UCI continental team alongside veteran Junrey Navarra.

The eight-stage race covers a total distance of 1,074.90 kilometers and includes teams from Malaysia, Taiwan, South Korea, as well as local teams like Victoria Sports Pro Cycling Team and 7-Eleven Click Roadbike Philippines.

Other notable cyclists include Marcelo Felipe and Nichol Pareja racing for the Victoria Sports Pro Cycling Team, Ruzzel Agapito competing for 7-Eleven Click Roadbike Philippines, Steven Tablizo and Andrei Deudor leading the Philippines Under-23 Tom N Toms squad, and Joshua Pascual and Julius Tudtud representing Excellent Noodles and DReyna Orion Cement squads.

The opening ceremony will take place at the quadrangle in front of San Agustin Church with Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Juanito Victor Remulla expected to attend alongside other dignitaries.
