Philippines Reports Over 346k COVID-19 Cases; Recovery Rate Reaches 85%

As of Wednesday, October 14, the Philippines reported a total of 346,536 confirmed COVID-19 cases with an average of around 2,200 new daily infections.

The recovery rate has reached 85%, and there are currently 293,860 recoveries and 6,449 deaths.

On Wednesday, the DOH recorded 1,910 new cases, with Metro Manila reporting the highest number at 624, followed by Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, and Negros Occidental.

The majority of new infections (86%) were reported within the past two weeks.

Active cases stand at 43,332, with 83.9% being mild, 10.8% asymptomatic, 1.7% severe, and 3.6% critical.
