Global coronavirus cases reach 36.93M, death toll at 1,067,766

As of Sunday, October 11, the global number of confirmed coronavirus cases reached 36.93 million with a death toll of 1,067,766.

The virus has spread to over 210 countries since it was first identified in China in December 2019.

The US leads globally with 7,691,846 cases and 213,778 deaths, followed by India (6,979,423 cases, 107,416 deaths), Brazil (5,055,888 cases, 149,639 deaths), Russia (1,285,084 cases, 22,454 deaths), and Colombia (894,300 cases, 27,495 deaths).

The Philippines has recorded a total of 336,926 confirmed cases and 6,238 deaths as of Saturday.
