PH logs lowest daily cases since pandemic

The Philippines logged its lowest daily number of new COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, with 425 new infections reported on Tuesday.

Active cases stand at 15,800 or 0.6% of total confirmed cases since the pandemic began.

The positivity rate has been below three percent for ten consecutive days and was recorded at only 2.1% on Tuesday based on tests conducted last November 28.

There were 909 recoveries and 44 new fatalities reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,768,389 and deaths to 48,545.
