DOH: Unvaccinated three times likely to die from COVID-19

Unvaccinated Filipinos are nearly three times more likely to die from COVID-19 and twice as likely to develop severe symptoms compared to those who are fully vaccinated.

As of November 14, out of 216,074 cases admitted in health facilities since March 1, 86% were unvaccinated, with 93.49% of deaths among the unvaccinated.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire emphasized that vaccination is key to reducing deaths and opening up more opportunities for Filipinos.
