Cavite's active COVID-19 cases surge to 557

Cavite's number of active COVID-19 cases has risen to 557 as of May 10, up significantly from 28 on April 7.

The Provincial Health Office reported three deaths and 158 new infections in Cavite on Wednesday.

Tanza town leads with 134 active cases, a sharp increase from seven cases in early April.

In Quezon province, the number of active cases has also risen to 106 as of May 8, up from just one case a month ago.

The Integrated Provincial Health Office reported two deaths and 26 new infections on Monday, with Lucena City and Tayabas City having the highest numbers of active cases.
