DOH: PH reports over 8K new COVID-19 cases

The Philippines reported 8,276 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, bringing the total to over one million cases.

Active cases slightly increased to 69,354 with 94.9% being mild and 1.1% in critical condition.

Total recoveries climbed to 942,239 with 6,636 new recoveries recorded, while the death toll rose to 17,145 after 114 new fatalities were reported.

Data also showed that ICU bed usage is at 64% and mechanical ventilators are 46% occupied.
