NCR reproduction number drops to 0.77

The reproduction number in Metro Manila dropped from 0.83 to 0.77 as the region remains under MECQ until May 14.

OCTA Research fellow Dr. Mike Tee noted a decrease in NCR's 7-day average cases from 5,551 to 3,044.

Hospital occupancy has also decreased with only 15 hospitals at full capacity compared to the previous week's 30.

Dr. Guido David of OCTA Research stated that ECQ and MECQ measures have led to a 46% decrease in cases from their peak.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire reported a decline in NCR's ADAR from 34 cases per 100,000 individuals to 25 cases over the past two weeks.
