PH Covid-19 recoveries rise to 2.65M

The Philippines reported 7,312 new recoveries from COVID-19 on Sunday, October 24, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 2,654,173.

Active cases nationwide decreased slightly to 60,957 with about 77.5 percent being mild, followed by asymptomatic (6.1%), critical (2.1%), severe (5.1%), and moderate (9.2%) cases.

The DOH also reported 5,279 new infections on Sunday, raising the total case count to 2,756,923 with a positivity rate of around 10 percent based on recent testing data.

Additionally, 208 new deaths were recorded, increasing the death toll to 41,793.

On Friday, October 22, the DOH reported 4,748 recoveries and 5,823 new cases, while logging 283 additional deaths, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 2,637,531 and active cases to 66,838.

On Thursday, October 21, the DOH reported 5,934 recoveries and 4,806 new infections, with an additional 260 deaths recorded, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 2,633,039 and active cases to 65,835.
