Four coronavirus variants detected in Zamboanga, General Santos

Four coronavirus variants, including the highly infectious Delta strain, have been detected in Zamboanga City with a total of 175 cases.

Of these, 152 individuals recovered while 23 succumbed to the virus; the Beta variant has the highest number of cases at 122, resulting in 21 deaths.

In General Santos City, health authorities reported 47 cases of Covid-19 variants with 44 recoveries and three fatalities, involving four types of variants: Alpha (UK), Beta (South Africa), Delta (India), and Theta (Philippines).
