Petro Gazz wins 8th straight, improves to 9-1

Petro Gazz extended its winning streak to eight games by defeating Galeries Tower 25-18, 25-18, 25-22 on Saturday at Ynares Center, improving their record to 9-1 in the PVL All-Filipino Conference.

Despite dominating the first two sets, Petro Gazz struggled with communication issues and unforced errors in the third set, nearly forcing an extended match against Galeries Tower.

Myla Pablo led Petro Gazz's scoring efforts with 17 points and eight excellent digs, while veteran Aiza Pontillas contributed 12 points and was named Best Player of the Game.

Jho Maraguinot topped Galeries Tower's scoring with 12 points as they fell to a 1-10 record for the No. 12 spot in the conference.

Petro Gazz faces Nxled on Thursday, February 20, while Galeries Tower takes on Creamline at PhilSports Arena.
