Petro Gazz secures ninth straight win, tops Nxled 25-19, 25-14, 25-17

Petro Gazz secured its ninth consecutive victory in the PVL All-Filipino Conference preliminary round by defeating Nxled, 25-19, 25-14, 25-17 on Thursday night at PhilSports Arena.

Despite being assured of the second seed before the match, Petro Gazz dominated with Brooke van Sickle leading the way with 17 points from attacks, a block, and an ace, while MJ Phillips contributed 14 points including three aces.

Djanel Cheng had 14 excellent sets for Petro Gazz as they continued their strong performance in the preliminaries despite Creamline securing the top seed earlier that day by defeating Galeries.

Coach Koji Tsuzurabara praised his team's consistency during the preliminaries and highlighted their confidence heading into the playoffs, where Petro Gazz will face Capital1 and Creamline will take on Nxled.

Van Sickle emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and accountability in the playoffs, noting that previous wins do not guarantee success.
