NTF-WPS: 240 Chinese ships swarm West PH Sea

Chinese ships, including at least six naval vessels and an estimated 240 maritime militia vessels, continue to swarm the West Philippine Sea.

The National Task Force for the West Philippine Sea (NTF-WPS) reported that these Chinese vessels pose a threat to navigation safety and impede Filipinos' exclusive rights in their EEZ.

On April 11, patrols observed 240 Chinese Coast Guard and maritime militia ships near various reefs and islands within Palawan's territorial waters and the Philippine EEZ.

The NTF-WPS noted that these vessels include three PLA Navy warships at Panganiban Reef, one Corvette class warship at Kagitingan Reef, and other naval assets contributing to militarization.
