Locsin urges China to order ships out of Julian Felipe Reef

Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr. urged China to order its remaining maritime militia vessels to leave Julian Felipe Reef in the West Philippine Sea.

China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian stated that the 44 Chinese vessels will not maintain a permanent presence at Julian Felipe Reef and denied claims of maritime militia involvement.

Zhao also dismissed the Philippines' concerns, asserting it is customary for Chinese fishing boats to work and shelter in these waters without malicious intent.
