Palace warns ECQ may return if physical distancing fails

Malacañang warns that Metro Manila could return to an enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) if physical distancing measures are not observed.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque stated on Monday that the 14-day incubation period must be monitored before determining any increase in coronavirus cases.

Roque emphasized that a surge in infections due to lax adherence to social distancing could overwhelm the healthcare system, leading to stricter lockdown measures.
