Malls warned of closure for distancing violations

Joint Task Force COVID Shield warned that malls will be closed if they do not observe physical distancing protocols.

Police Lieutenant General Guillermo Eleazar, commander of JTF COVID Shield, said names of non-compliant malls have been forwarded to local police commanders who must personally warn the mall management.

Eleazar emphasized that Secretary of Interior and Local Government Eduardo Año instructed them to facilitate closures and file charges against non-compliant mall managers.
