DOH: 214 new Covid-19 cases, 101 recoveries

As of May 16, the DOH reported 214 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 101 recoveries in the Philippines.

The total number of cases increased to 12,305 with 2,561 recoveries and a death toll of 817.

On Saturday, at least 147 new infections were from Metro Manila while 67 came from other regions.

The DOH also reported 11 new deaths and updated the total bed capacity for Covid-19 patients to 13,456 beds, including ward, isolation, and ICU beds.

Additionally, the DOH called for medical graduates to apply as 'deputized physicians' to help in the country's workforce against the pandemic.
