PNP identifies suspect in vaccine slot sale scheme

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has identified a person of interest in connection with the reported sale of COVID-19 vaccine slots and brands.

The suspect offered two vaccine brands for PHP12,000 to PHP15,500 through social media messaging apps, claiming contacts in San Juan and Mandaluyong could secure vaccination slots.

PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Olay confirmed some personalities have been identified but declined to provide further details to avoid compromising the investigation.

The Department of Health (DOH) is investigating these allegations and warns that selling government-procured vaccines will result in sanctions under existing laws.
