PAGASA forecasts rainy, cloudy weather in parts of North Luzon; Amihan, shear line, ITCZ affect

PAGASA forecasts cloudy and rainy conditions across parts of Northern Luzon on Saturday, December 7, influenced by the northeast monsoon (Amihan), shear line, and intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).

Batanes will experience light rain showers and cold temperatures, while Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, and nearby towns may see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The eastern portion of Luzon, including Aurora, Quezon, areas around Banahaw, and the Bicol Region, could face bad weather conditions that might lead to flooding and landslides due to the shear line.

Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon can expect partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers in the afternoon, while Palawan and most of Visayas may see partly cloudy skies with chances of rain.

Caraga and Davao regions will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in the morning due to the ITCZ, extending into the rest of Mindanao by late afternoon.

Northern Luzon coasts will have moderate to rough seas on Saturday, while the rest of the country's seaboard may see light to moderate sea conditions with waves reaching up to 2.5 meters during thunderstorms.
