PAGASA warns of rain and thunderstorms in parts of Luzon and Mindanao

PAGASA reported that the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will continue to bring cloudy skies with rain over parts of Luzon and Mindanao.

Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Bicol Region, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi are expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, posing a risk for flash floods or landslides.

The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rain over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Quezon, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are expected in the Ilocos Region and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region and Central Luzon.

Luzon, eastern sections of Visayas, and Mindanao will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters due to easterly winds, while elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.

No low pressure area is being monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation within the next two to three days.
