PAGASA warns of scattered rains, thunderstorms, and dangerous heat in parts of PH

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that isolated rain showers will prevail across most areas in the country on Thursday.

However, scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Bataan, Zambales, and Palawan due to a southwesterly windflow affecting Northern Luzon’s western section.

PAGASA warns that light to moderate to at times heavy rains could lead to flash floods or landslides in these areas.

Metro Manila and other parts of the country will experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas are expected across the archipelago.

Over 20 areas are forecast to reach 'danger level' heat index, ranging from 42°C to 45°C, posing risks for heat cramps, exhaustion, and stroke with prolonged exposure.
