PAGASA warns scattered rains, thunderstorms in Zamboanga, Western Visayas, Palawan

PAGASA warns that two weather systems will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains to various parts of the Philippines over the next 24 hours.

Zamboanga Peninsula, Western Visayas, and Palawan can expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will experience similar conditions as a result of a frontal system, with possible flash floods or landslides.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also caused by the ITCZ.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies.

PAGASA advises caution as no low pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation, while heat index warnings have been issued in several regions.
