ITCZ brings scattered rains and possible thunderstorms in Visayas, Mindanao, Palawan; easterlies bring isolated showers elsewhere

Two weather systems are continuing to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains across parts of the country, according to PAGASA's daily weather forecast.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and possible thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect Visayas, Mindanao, Palawan, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, Mimaropa, Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate, while easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms elsewhere.

Visayas, Mindanao, Palawan, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, Mimaropa, Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate may experience flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains from the ITCZ, while other areas could see isolated rain showers or thunderstorms with possible flash floods during severe storms.

Light to moderate winds moving in a southeast to northeast direction are expected in Northern and Central Luzon while coastal waters will be slight to moderate in most regions except for extreme northern Luzon where moderate to rough coastal waters may occur due to strong southeast to northeast winds.

Temperatures in the Philippines will range from 25.0°C to 34.6°C over the next 24 hours, with sunrise in Metro Manila at 5:26 a.m. on Sunday.
