Amihan brings rain to North Luzon, ITCZ causes storms in Mindanao

On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) continues to affect Northern Luzon while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) brings scattered rains and thunderstorms over Mindanao.

PAGASA forecasts cloudy skies with light rain in Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region due to Amihan, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain in the Ilocos Region.

Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Caraga, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and parts of Mindanao will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms from the ITCZ, posing a risk for flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila and other parts of the country may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms, with fair weather conditions prevailing in the morning.

Strong winds and rough waters are expected in extreme Northern Luzon, while moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail across most of Northern Luzon; light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will be seen elsewhere in the archipelago.
