Pagasa warns moderate to heavy rains in Visayas, Mindanao until Friday

Parts of Visayas and Mindanao will experience moderate to heavy rains due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Surigao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Dinagat Islands in Caraga, and Eastern Samar are expected to see moderate to heavy rainfall from Tuesday noon until Thursday noon.

From Thursday noon to Friday noon, similar weather conditions are forecast for Dinagat Islands and Eastern Samar.

Localized flooding may occur in urbanized, low-lying areas or near rivers due to these weather conditions.

Landslides are possible in highly susceptible areas as warned by Pagasa.
