PAGASA: Metro Manila rain showers, North cold winds

Metro Manila will see unexpected rain showers on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Weather specialist Grace Castañeda advised people spending time outdoors to prepare for these sudden rains.

Temperatures in Metro Manila are expected to range between 23 to 32 degrees Celsius with isolated rain showers due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Castañeda warned that three weather systems—a northeast monsoon, shear line, and easterlies—are affecting the archipelago, causing cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in various regions.

Dwellers in Bicol Region, Quezon, Aurora, Caraga, Davao Region, Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, and Camiguin were warned about possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.

The northeast monsoon is bringing cold winds and light rains to Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon.
