DSWD distributes ₱105M aid for Paeng victims

As of Friday, November 4, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has distributed over ₱105 million worth of financial assistance and relief supplies to victims of Tropical Storm Paeng.

The DSWD provided PHP5.1 million in Zamboanga City alone, including food packs, bottled water, hot meals, sleeping kits, and burial assistance for four deceased individuals.

At least six evacuation centers were established in Zamboanga City, catering to 10,160 families or 50,800 individuals displaced by Paeng.

The DSWD noted that it has stockpile funds and supplies worth ₱1.4 billion as of October 30.

As of Friday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported 154 deaths, 128 injuries, and 35 missing individuals due to Paeng.
