QC submits plan to vaccinate 1.05M people

Quezon City, the most populated city in Metro Manila and with the highest number of COVID-19 cases, submitted its vaccination plan to the national government on January 28.

The plan aims to vaccinate at least 1.05 million people using 1.1 million doses from AstraZeneca ordered by Quezon City.

Joseph Juico, co-chairperson of the city’s vaccination task force, presented the plan to vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr and Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.

Quezon City has prepared 24 inoculation sites across six districts and aims for herd immunity with an 80% vaccination rate.

Nurses from religious organizations have volunteered to help in the rollout.
