Philippines expects 56M COVID-19 vaccine doses by May

The Philippines expects around 56 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines from American pharmaceutical companies to arrive by May under the COVAX facility.

Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez announced that efforts since May 2020 have secured immediate access to vaccine supply and sustainable pathways for future supplies.

Health Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. stated that more than one million doses of vaccines from AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Sinovac will arrive in February for the initial rollout targeting healthcare workers.
