NU secures men's volleyball Final Four spot

National University secured their spot in the UAAP Season 87 men's volleyball Final Four with a four-set victory over the University of Santo Tomas Golden Spikers on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Bulldogs finished the season with an impressive 12-2 record and will face UST in the semifinals with a twice-to-beat advantage, setting up a rematch from their Season 86 Finals series.

Coach Dante Alinsunurin praised his team's effort despite the match being a no-bearing game, emphasizing their adjustment to UST's plays and their mindset to win regardless of the outcome.

Jade Disquitado led NU with 23 points, followed by Leo Ordiles with 15 and Rwemz Taguibolos contributing 10 markers as they secured their sixth consecutive victory.

In the second game of the day, University of the Philippines staged a comeback from two sets down to defeat Adamson in five sets, ending their season on a strong note.
