NU clinches SSL Pre-season Championship three-peat

National University defeated La Salle in Game 1 of the best-of-three title series in the 2024 Shakey's Super League Collegiate Pre-season Championship on Friday at Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

NU clinched their third consecutive SSL Pre-season Championship with a decisive victory over La Salle in Finals Game 2, securing a sweep and completing a historic 'three-peat'.

Led by Bella Belen, who won her second SSL MVP this year, NU triumphed 23-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-20 in the decisive game.

Belen emphasized that despite their success, the team remains hungry for more and is focused on defending their title in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament next year.

Setter Lams Lamina was named Player of the Game for her brilliant playmaking, while La Salle's Shevana Laput scored 12 points but could not prevent the loss.
