NU women's volleyball team clinches 'three-peat' in Shakey's Super League

National University's women's volleyball team secured a historic 'three-peat' in the Shakey's Super League Pre-season Championship on Sunday night by defeating La Salle 23-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-20.

Led by MVPs Alyssa Solomon and Bella Belen, NU completed a sweep of the 7-game series with their victory in Game 2, following their win in Game 1 last Friday.

Coach Sherwin Meneses, who joined NU last August after his success with Creamline Cool Smashers, played a crucial role in this achievement by securing his first title with National University and expressed excitement for upcoming UAAP Season next year.

Alyssa Solomon was named Best Opposite Spiker for her performance, scoring all of her 19 points on attacks, while Bella Belen contributed 15 points including two blocks and an ace.

The Lady Bulldogs took Game 1 in a clinical dismantling of La Salle in straight sets last Friday and secured their revenge after the Lady Spikers halted their winning streak earlier this year.
