NU stuns FEU to stay perfect in UAAP men's volleyball

National University upset Far Eastern University to maintain their title defense in the UAAP Season 87 men's volleyball tournament on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Bulldogs won with a score of 17-25, 25-21, 17-25, 25-14, 15-9, improving their record to 8-2 and placing them just one game behind FEU's 9-1.

Leo Ordiales led NU with a career-high 19 points, while Michaelo Buddin added 16 points; both players emphasized the importance of following their system and maintaining focus throughout the match.

After falling behind 1-2 through the first three sets, NU found its championship form in the fourth set, driven by stellar plays from key players like Buddin's clinching ace.

The Bulldogs dominated the fifth set with a strong start, taking an early 9-2 lead and securing their victory despite FEU inching closer later on.
