FEU beats UP in five-set thriller, reaches Final Four

FEU secured a spot in the UAAP Season 87 men's volleyball Final Four after defeating UP Fighting Maroons in a five-set thriller, with Saavedra scoring 29 points.

Despite trailing early, FEU came back from a tough loss against NU Bulldogs to win over UP (25-19, 25-21, 20-25, 29-31, 15-12) on Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

FEU's Ariel Cacao and Olayemi Raheem were key players in the decisive fifth set with strategic sets and crucial attacks respectively.

The win extended FEU’s winning streak against UP to 12 consecutive games dating back to Season 79, while UP missed out on the Final Four for the sixth straight season.

FEU coach Eddieson Orcullo praised his team's composure during the match, highlighting their readiness and teamwork in overcoming a lead by UP.
